The ability of aluminium to compete in markets where a high standard of finish is essential has depended upon the development chemical polishing processes, sometimes also referred to as “bright dipping”. However, the bright finish produced by this treatment has to be preserved by protecting it with an anodic coating.  It must therefore be appreciated that the final finish obtained depends upon the combination of material, brightening treatment and anodizing process employed, the combination often being referred to as “Bright Anodizing”
